Use the Professionals

Whether you are planning a new feature or a complete garden makeover you need to be assured that the landscaper you choose to carry out your garden project is of the highest standard. This assurance is achieved by using a BALI member.

The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) was established in 1972 to provide a voice for Landscapers and, most importantly, to raise standards throughout the industry.

Before becoming members, landscape contractors have to successfully pass a series of challenging tests to demonstrate their company is run to a significantly professional standard and the quality of their work is of the highest level.

To find out more about the BALI Vetting Procedure please download the ‘Use the Professionals’ leaflet under BALI Useful Tips.

Whatever your desire, how ever “deep” your pocket may be, there is a garden to suit you and there is a BALI landscaper who can create your dreamscape. Please visit the Awards section of the website to view a variety of schemes constructed by BALI Members.

Complaints Resolution Procedure

BALI sets high standards that contractors must meet in order to become members, going through a strict vetting procedure on joining BALI.

We therefore take any complaint against a member very seriously. All complaints are investigated fully and in most cases, are resolved simply through the intervention of BALI. However, if this cannot be achieved, BALI will help with an independent complaints resolution.

If you have a complaint against a BALI member, please follow the procedure so that your complaint can be resolved quickly.

Procedure:

1.

Please address all correspondence to: The Chief Executive, BALI, Landscape House, N.A.C. Stoneleigh Park, Coventry CV8 2LG.

2. Please attach all relevant paperwork together with your fully completed complaint form.
3. Complaints Committee will assess all relevant paperwork connected with the complaint.
4. BALI will inform the Member of the nature of the complaint against them and give them the opportunity to improve their standards, and discuss the findings of the Complaints Committee.
5. Independent adjudication is available at client and/ or contractors cost.
6. Any member found to be negligent will appear before the Complaints Committee and may be suspended pending further investigations.
